Julia is a graduate of the Aveda Institute in Denver, and completed advanced training at Gary Manuel Salon in Seattle. Originally from Denver and wanting to start fresh in a bustling coastal city, Julia decided Seattle is the obvious and perfect choice for those who aspire to find adventure in both mountain and sea.
Julia inspires to help people look and feel their best and works hard to do so in the salon, and by volunteering. She feels truly blessed by the people who have sacrificed their time to assist her in difficult times and feels a direct calling to be a helping hand to people in need. Julia is a voulunteer and leader with the Beyond Project, a Seattle charity that reaches out to provide salon services to King county's homeless adults and youth, foster parents, and anyone struggling that needs a little TLC. Julia is encouraged to experience first hand what human touch, love, special attention, and a fresh look can do to boost one's confidence and help them feel a little hope in their life. Julia is also compelled to offer her services internationally so recently completed a 2 month stay in Cambodia as a guest artist for Justice and Soul, a non-profit beauty school in Cambodia working to uplift victims of the sex slave industry and give them a new career and focus. She plans to return to Cambodia in January to take celebrate her students' graduation and renewed lives.
For the last two years, Julia led Ola Salon's education team as well as a regional educator for Davines product line. Julia is confident to provide any salon service, however she specializes in balayage, classic bobs, curly hair and up-dos, and certified in Brazilian Blowout and hair extensions.
